Daughters of the American Revolution: Welcome to the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Scholarship Opportunities Homepage. All applicants must be citizens of the United States and must attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States. DAR chapter sponsorship is not required; however, a DAR member may be used as a reference or may assist you with your application.
Fostering Futures Scholarship: must have been in foster care at the age of 13 or older, there is no age limit, must attend a Michigan public or private 4 year college/university or community college. Funds can only be used to cover tuition, fees, room and board and required supplies/equipment. Funding can be used along with the Michigan Education and Training voucher.
Michigan Education and Training Voucher: Were you in foster care after your 14th birthday? Were you adopted from foster care after your 16th birthday? Do you have a high school diploma or GED? Are you attending an accredited college or vocational program? Are you under the age of 21? If you answered "yes" to these questions, you may be eligible for funding to help with your educational expenses.

Sunrise Family Credit Union Scholarship: The applicant must be a graduating senior, who is a member of SFCU in good standing. The applicant must have proof of acceptance at an accredited college, university, or trade school. See Mrs. Hostetler for information.
Arenac County 4-H Foundation Scholarship: Deadline is March 31st. Applicant must be accepted in trade school, business school community college, or university. Applicant must meet the academic achievement required for further education. Applicant must have completed at least 3 years of Arenac County 4-H projects. See Mrs. Hostetler for an application.
Sunrise Side Republican Women's $1,000 Scholarship: Deadline is the Last Friday in March. Must be a female, US citizen, graduating senior from high school in Iosco, or Alcona County and must reside in that county. Must be accepted to a public or private post secondary institution and have a cummulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
Oscoda Wurtsmith Airport Student Scholarship: Offering a $3,000 scholarship for pilot training or aerospace education. Scholarship is available for high school students in Alcona and Iosco counties. Sand Lake Women's Auxillary Scholarship: Must live in Iosco County and gave a 3.0 GPA or higher. See Mrs. Hostetler for an application.
Michigan Retailers Association Scholarships: Applications must be requested by March 15 and submitted by April 1. There are (34) $1,000 scholarships available to high school seniors. Those eligible to apply are dependent children of owners of MRA member businesses or fulltime employees of MRA member firms. The parent employee must have been employed by an MRA member firm for at least one year as of January 1 of the year in which the scholarships are awarded and/or a part-time employee of MRA member businesses who are full-time students. Part-time employees must have been employed by MRA member firm for at least six months as of January 1 of the year in which the scholaships are awarded.
H. Earleen Fox Memorial Scholarship: $500 scholarship. This scholarship is offered to any W-P graduating senior that intends to further their education in the medical field. See Mrs. Hostetler for information.

Eleanor L and John R Heilman Nursing Education Scholarship: Applicants must be studying in the field of nursing and have a GPA of 2.8 or higher. Qualifying applicants can visit www.cfnem.org and click on scholarships to apply.
Carl and Christine Huebner Scholarship for the Arts: available to graduating senior from Iosco County who will attend an accredited college or university to major in music, creative writing or performing arts. Application is available at www.iccf-online.org
Sheryl Krantz Memorial Scholarship: this scholarship is for a W-P seniors with a GPA of 2.5 or higher and must be studying at an accredited college or university. Preference will be given to students coming from a single-parent household. Applications available at www.ncmcf.org
Michael Wentworth Scholarship Fund: applicants must be from Iosco County. Applicants must be attending an accredited institution to major in architecture, visual arts and/or Art History or be participating in a visual arts program, camp, apprenticeship or similar study program through an established non-profit organization or accredited institution. West Branch Creative Arts Scholarship: Applicants must live in Ogemaw County and must be a graduating senior who is pursuing a career in Art or Art Education. See Mrs. Hostetler for information.
Sterling High School Alumni Scholarship:$250.00 scholarship. Must have attended W-P since 7th grade and be accepted to a Michigan college, university, or tech or trade school. Must submit a shor essay on financial need. See Mrs. Hostetler for information.
Tawas Area Elks Lodge #2525 2015 Community College Scholarship: Must be a high school senior and be attending one of the following community colleges in the 2015-2016 academic school year: Alpena Community College, Delta Community College, or Kirtland Community College.
American Legion Scholarship, Glenn Staley Post 422: Scholarships are awarded based on a written essay and other information provided. See Mrs. Hostetler
Vietnam Veterans of America Scholarship #882: Scholarships are awarded based on a written essay and other information provided. See Mrs. Hostetler
Veterans of Foreign War Scholarship, Hale Post 7435: Scholarships are awarded based on a written essay and other information provided. See Mrs. Hostetler
Tolfree Foundation Scholarships: These scholarships will assist anyone interested in furthering their education in health care with preference given to high school seniors and students of medical center employees entering a field of study related to health care. See Mrs. Hostetler
Paul A Poling Memorial Fund Scholarship: (2) $2,500 scholarships. These scholarships are designated to further health care education in the region. Preference is given to graduates of any high school in West Branch Regional Medical Center's service area. See Mrs. Hostetler.
Memory of Lucille Schwarz: (2) $500 scholarships. See Mrs. Hostetler
Leslie Jameson Memorial Medical Education Support Fund: Graduating student or current college student from Ogemaw County who has demonstrated dedication to the medical field. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA and complete an essay explaining how you plan to further yourself in the medical field. See Mrs. Hostetler
