The mission of the Whittemore-Prescott JR/SR High School is to produce citizens who can effectively communicate, gather and use information, make responsible life decisions.

The vision of the Whittemore-Prescott JR/SR High School is to provide each student with equal educational opportunities. Through combined school and community involvement, we seek to provide positive role models and a positive environment. Our purpose is to furnish each student with the knowledge, life skills he/she will need to foster self-esteem, positive attitudes, and responsible social behavior.

We believe at Whittemore-Prescott JR/SR High School that the cooperation of family, school, and community, all students can learn.

Superintendent Candidates

The Whittemore-Prescott Area Schools Board of Education continues to move forward with the process of selecting a new Superintendent of Schools. Eight educators submitted applications for the position. Applicants consisted of current superintendents, central office administrators, former superintendents, and school level administrators. The Board completed a thorough review of the applications and has invited five educators to be interviewed.

The interviews will be held on April 20 and April 21. Interviews will take place at the Whittemore-Prescott Administrative Building, 8970 Prescott Road, Whittemore, MI 48770. The public is welcome to attend.
